The FTSE Nareit US Real Estate Index Series is a comprehensive family of REIT-focused indexes that span the commercial real estate industry, providing market participants with a range of tools to benchmark and analyse exposure to real estate across the US economy at both a broad industry-wide level and on a sector-by-sector basis. The FTSE EPRA Nareit Global Real Estate Index Series is designed to represent general trends in eligible real estate equities worldwide. Relevant activities are defined as the ownership, trading and development of income-producing real estate. 1.7.3 The FTSE Nareit US Real Estate Index Series is calculated on an end-of-day basis in US dollars, Euro, UK Sterling and Japanese Yen. 1.7.4 Selected indexes are calculated and disseminated on a real time basis in US dollars. 1.7.5 Both price and total return indexes are calculated. The FTSE EPRA Nareit Global Real Estate Index Series includes the indexes which can be grouped into global, regional and specialist. A breakdown of the indexes within the series is defined in Appendix 2. 1.5 Two values for each index are calculated: (1) a capital return and (2) a total return.
